About
Caitlin is an analogue photographer based in Adelaide, South Australia.
Caitlin has captured the beauty within her surroundings since she picked up her first film camera in 2017. Since then, she has shot landscapes, people, animals and experimented with light and objects to achieve photographs that express intimacy, mystery and harmony within subject matter, material and composition.
Caitlin studied a Bachelor of Contemporary Art at the University of South Australia between 2019 and 2023, where she had the opportunity to thrive in her creative abilities and learn a wide range of photographic processes. She specialised in black and white film photography in her graduate year, fine tuning her practice of shooting on film, as well as developing and scanning 35mm film, producing prints in the darkroom and professionally displaying her work. She received the Atkins Photography Prize for ‘Perceptions of Self’ graduate show artwork in 2021.
Caitlin continues to shoot on both black and white and colour, and has been involved in five exhibitions around Adelaide, exhibiting work alongside emerging and established artists and photographers.
